General info
Green Bowl Beach, also famous as Pantai Green Bowl, is one of the Bukit Peninsulas’ finest, and secluded beaches.
Green Bowl Beach is located at the southernmost tip of Bali, just over from Melasti Beach. It is about an hour from Canggu and is very simple to reach. It is really accessible for people staying in Uluwatu and is ideal for a laid-back day out.
It is not difficult to find, with pathed stairs heading down from the parking lot, and really is a small piece of paradise. Don’t forget to buy something from the local vendors on the top of the cliff. They work hard and are not expensive at all!
Oh before we forget, please keep in mind that there are monkeys in the area, and on the stairs, who love to grab your personal belongings.
This stunning white sand beach, bordered by a coral reef and blue waters, should not be overlooked during your stay. Apart from the spotless sandy beaches, it’s a favorite hangout location for dedicated surfers. The reef break immediately offshore generates great surf and is far less crowded than famous beaches such as Uluwatu and Padang Padang. But beware, this is not a place for inexperienced surfers!
At low tide, you can explore the caves and farther down the shoreline, where you’ll discover other isolated sandy places and hundreds of rock pools. If you arrive later in the day, it is strongly recommended that you stay for sunset, as those sunsets on the Bukit Peninsula are unlike anything you’ve ever seen!
