Dreamland Beach is one of the white-sand beaches Bali has to offer, surrounded by limestone cliffs flanking the rugged southern Bukit Peninsulas’ shoreline.
The beach became very reachable with the construction of the Pecatu Graha and Pecatu Indah Resort developments, which turned 400 hectares of mountainous land into “New Kuta” around the turn of the century, complete with the Klapa Beach Club, resorts, and the New Kuta Golf course.
Despite the widespread expansion, Dreamland Beach maintains much of its rugged attractiveness, especially for beach lovers, and surfers.
On this pristine beach, you can hire deck chairs and umbrellas and pay as little as Rp 50,000 to Rp 100,000 for a massage.
While most of the local Warung food stall scene has vanished, several tiny stores and beach vendors selling cold soft drinks and Bintangs still remain.
Just before, and during sunset, you can enjoy watching the little grommets take on some of dreamlands’ waves. And boy, are they good at it!
Due to its softer waves, Dreamland is a great spot for beginner surfers wanting to improve their skills. Board rentals are available on the beach.
