General info
Balangan Beach (Pantai Balangan) on the Bukit Peninsula is one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches, and it is simple to understand why! This magnificent beach gained popularity when an Instagram shot of the cliffs went viral but is still stayed very much true to its roots.
Wooden shacks line up the white sand beach, where the water will crash underneath during high tide. During low tide, the ocean will retract, exposing a reef including its wildlife. Definitely worth some exploring!
Surfing at Balangan beach is well-known and receives a high volume of visitors from surf fans from all over the globe. This beach has some of the greatest waves in the area, as well as spectacular scenery that spans down the shoreline. Additionally, the tide on the beach provides a variety of portions, as well as a 500-meter-long ride at times of large waves.
During high tide and a lower swell, Balangan is perfect for beginner surfers to get their first couple of waves, and fall in love with the lifestyle that comes with it.
For those of you who do not surf, you will enjoy this beach too! Taking you back in time when the time went slow, and life was simple.
